Mental symptoms of a concussion:
- Impaired thinking
- Slowed timing
- Lack of Concentration
- Memory Loss
Physical Symptoms of a concussion:
- Headache
- Impaired Vision
- Nausea or Vomiting
- Dizziness or Lightheaded
- Sensitivity to Light
- Lack of Balance
- Fatigue
Children are harder to determine if a concussion has ensued than adults. The following symptoms may apply to children:
· Migraine
· Behavior
· Changes in eating or sleeping patterns
· Severe emotions or temper tantrums
· Sadness
· Lack of interests
Effects of a concussion- A concussion may give the victim a temporary lack of brain functionality, which may cause the victim to have a hard time doing everyday activities. Even after a recovery, the brain may not be one hundred percent recovered. Concussions are very serious and may lead to impairment to a victim’s everyday life.
